This camp was the forth camp I have been on so I was really exited to see what new exercises had been put in place throughout the camp. The Camp was held at MOD Woodbridge on the 31st January - 2nd February 2014.

Friday:140131 MOD Woodbridge Camp 1
The camp started on Friday night at 6:00pm where all the Felixstowe Cadets met up at the squadron HQ. And we then made our way to meet up with Woodbridge Cadets and also Ipswich Cadets, where we were put into two teams for the weekend.

When we arrived at the air field we were told to tactically without being seen retrieve our burgeons, many ambushes later we retrieved our packs and made our way to the camp site and were given our rations.

Saturday:140131 MOD Woodbridge Camp 2
We all woke up to the sound of Cadet (Cdt) Barkes's rather loud alarm to meet staff at our end of the runway to find out the objective for our next exercise ( to get to the far corner of the runway using a friendly staff Land-Rover to take us most of the way) after moving quickly from an enemy mini bus we were dropped off. However we fell straight into the enemy's hands but fortunatly we escaped (were let go) so that we could carry on with the exercise, where Cdt Woods and I, Cdt Poffley, completed the exercise.

After many exercises later, we had to set up camp again and do a short night exercise that involved simulated bombing of old buildings in and around Butley creek.

Sunday:140131 MOD Woodbridge Camp 3

We woke up to the sound of rain (I just felt sorry for the people
who slept in the natural shelter). After a long awkward attempt of
packing up my sleeping bag and trying not to get it wet, we found out
that we had a observation exercise to do.

We had to hide up and observe the terrible role play of the staff carrying out their own exercises and the team with the most information wins. After that we had to take down camp and check for rubbish to be dropped at the Sqn HQ at 17:00hrs.

My thanks to all the officers and staff that helped put that weekend together.
